2026 SCTE BROADBAND CHAMPIONSHIP
Madison Communications is proud to celebrate another incredible accomplishment by one of our own!
Broadband Technician Bryan Huffstutler represented Madison Communications at the 2026 Broadband Championships at Tech Expo in Atlanta, Georgia, where he earned 3rd Place in the Fiber Connection competition on October 1st.
Bryan competed alongside 24 highly skilled broadband technicians, making his third-place finish an accomplishment we are extremely proud to celebrate.
Back on the Big Stage
Bryan entered this year’s competition with an impressive title already to his name. In 2025, Bryan was crowned the overall Broadband Championships winner, earning his place on the official championship trophy.
Returning to the competition in 2026 and earning another top finish further demonstrates the level of skill, precision, and dedication Bryan brings to his profession.
“We are extremely proud of Bryan and the way he continues to represent Madison Communications,” said Dennis Russell, Manager of Technical Operations at Madison Communications. “To compete at this level among some of the industry’s top technicians is an accomplishment on its own. Following his overall championship win last year with a third-place finish in Fiber this year speaks to Bryan’s skill, dedication, and commitment to his profession.”
What Are the Broadband Championships?
The Broadband Championships, formerly known as the Cable Games, are designed to showcase the skills and knowledge of broadband technicians. Competitors first participate at the local level, with top performers having the opportunity to advance and compete against other highly skilled technicians at Tech Expo.
At Tech Expo, competitors are challenged in three primary events:
- Fiber Connection
- Coax Connection
- Cable Jeopardy
These events put technicians’ knowledge, accuracy, craftsmanship, and ability to perform under pressure to the test.
In the Fiber Connection event, competitors complete a series of fiber-related tasks within a limited amount of time. Accuracy is critical, making the competition a true test of the technical skills broadband professionals use in the field.
Proud to Have Bryan on Team Madison
For Madison Communications, Bryan’s success is about more than bringing home a medal. It is an opportunity to recognize the talented people working behind the scenes every day to build, maintain, and improve the networks that keep our local communities connected.
From winning the overall championship in 2025 to earning 3rd Place in Fiber in 2026, Bryan continues to represent Madison Communications and our local communities on an industry stage.
Congratulations, Bryan! We are proud to have you on Team Madison!
