SCTE LINCOLN CABLE-TEC GAMES
We at Madison Communications are proud to announce the outstanding performance of our team at the 2025 SCTE Lincoln Chapter Cable-Tec Games, held on June 26th in Bloomington, Illinois. The SCTE Gateway Chapter is one of 67 Chapters across the globe whose purpose is to provide local networking, professional development and certification opportunities to current and prospective members across 70 locations worldwide.
The Cable-Tec Games feature seven Olympic-style events that test the skills of broadband technicians in areas both familiar and challenging, with a strong emphasis on accuracy and craftsmanship. Competitors from leading industry companies including Cass, Comcast, and Mediacom participated in this year’s contest, which drew eight highly competitive teams.
Each event is judged first on precision—with any error or discrepancy resulting in point deductions—and then on time, down to the thousandths of a second. The total event time and rankings are calculated to determine individual and team standings, all under the pressure of a live audience.
Wally Good, Greg Crabill, Erick Goode, and Myron High represented our team at this event. The team delivered a strong showing and placed 2nd Overall in the team standings. They also contributed to an impressive five-medal haul out of the 24 total awarded by the SCTE Gateway Chapter.
Individual Achievements:
·Wally Good – 1st Place, Meter Reading
·Greg Crabill – 3rd Place, Fiber Splicing
·Greg Crabill – 3rd Place, Drop Splicing
·Erick Goode – 3rd Place, Meter Reading

We want to extend our sincere congratulations to the team for their hard work, dedication, and professionalism at the Lincoln Chapter Cable-Tec Games.
