Severe weather can impact power and communication services. In the event of a storm, please follow the steps below to stay safe and restore your Madison Communications services as quickly as possible.
What to Do During and After a Storm
- Put safety first. Follow local weather alerts and avoid handling any damaged or downed lines.
- Check your power. If your power is out, contact your electric provider first.
- Once power is restored, restart your equipment:
- Unplug your modem and router for 30 seconds.
- Plug the modem back in first, then the router.
- Allow several minutes for devices to reconnect.
- Test your service. Many issues resolve after a simple restart.
