2025 SCTE BROADBAND WORLD CHAMPION
We’re excited to share that our very own Broadband Technician, Bryan Huffstutler, has been named World Champion at the 2025 SCTE Broadband Championship, held during TechExpo25 in Washington, D.C.
Hosted by the Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers (SCTE), this annual competition celebrates excellence in broadband technology and technical skills. It brought together 28 of the best competitors from SCTE chapters around the world—including 22 first-time participants—each showcasing their expertise in coax, fiber, and Cable Jeopardy events.
Bryan’s performance truly stood out among the best. He placed third in the Coax event and took first place in Cable Jeopardy with a top score of 2,100 points. His consistent results across all categories earned him the overall title of World Champion.
Earlier this year, Bryan earned his spot in the international competition by taking first place overall at the Gateway Chapter Games in St. Louis. His journey from local champion to world titleholder is a true reflection of his dedication, hard work, and professionalism.
“This is a historic moment for both Madison Communications and the Gateway Chapter,” said Dennis Russell, Manager of Technical Operations. “Bryan’s achievement represents the best of our industry, and we couldn’t be prouder of the commitment and excellence he brings to our team every day.”
As part of his win, Bryan’s name will be engraved on the official SCTE Broadband Championship trophy, which will be retired after this year and displayed at The Cable Center Cable Museum on the University of Denver campus.
We’d also like to thank the SCTE volunteers, judges, and chapter leaders—as well as sponsors like AFL, Viavi, UCL Swift, and Altec—for making this event possible.
All of us at Madison Communications are incredibly proud of Bryan and celebrate this amazing accomplishment. His achievement is a reminder of the innovation, teamwork, and dedication that drive our company and the broadband industry forward.
